The Movie is a Hindi remake of Tamil movie Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya. The film Ek Deewana Tha is written and directed by Gautham Menon, featuring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, in her Bollywood debut, in the lead roles. It is the remake of Gautham Menon’s own Tamil and Telugu film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Ye Maaya Chesave, with a different cast and climax, featuring soundtrack and film score composed by A. R. Rahman. These movie will be released in January 2012.
